It’s that time of year again when shoppers decide to start inhabiting the shops for a pre Christmas binge. In South Africa that means running the gauntlet of the all too common armed robberies of shopping centers. It seems this is a fat duck for plucking as the robbers are seldom apprehended and centers loath to have visible armed security.
We are frequenting our local mall being Canal Walk in Cape Town which has been hit several times in the last few weeks. Personally I’m prepared to risk it for the bullet fast free wifi but it’s not an ideal shopping experience to be sure.
